Castle Rock Comedy Club is back on the 21st September 2019
September 2019 | Nottingham
Following the launch in May, the Castle Rock Comedy Club will return at The Old Cold Store on Saturday 21 September.
The new comedy club in Nottingham, run by The Doorstep Comedy Club, an East Midlands comedy promoter, will feature Richard Massara as the MC, Sean Percival, Rob Coleman and Aussie headliner and local comedian Thomas Green.
The show is £12.50 in advance from thedoorstepcomedyclub.com and in person at The Vat & Fiddle. There are also £10 Seniors & Students tickets available and tickets on the door will be £15. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8.30pm and is expected to last 2 hours 30 minutes.
Featuring professional acts from across the circuit the line-up has been hand picked to ensure a smooth, flowing show full of brilliantly crafted jokes, stories and gags aimed at giving the audience a top quality experience. With years of experience combining the acts there will definitely be something to laugh about on the 21st.
The host for the night, Richard Massara has been described by the Notts Comedy Review as having a ‘winning smile and confident stage presence’, two things he will need for his performance at the Castle Rock Comedy Club. The main acts from the night have also received praise from the likes of the Birmingham Evening Mail who commented that Sean Percival is capable of delivering ‘a masterclass in comedy’ and Rob Coleman is ‘a naturally funny man’ - Bedfordshire News.
The headliner, who lives in Nottinghamshire, has been around the world with his comedy, having originally started in his home country, Australia. Thomas Green ‘will have you in stitches’ and is full of ‘gut aching moments where you’re not sure if you can stop laughing’ and it is easy to see why he is a regular on The Doorstep Comedy Club circuit.
THE OLD COLD STORE
The Castle Rock Brewery’s old beer cellar has been converted into a multi-purpose events venue and, as The Old Cold Store, lends itself perfectly to hosting stand-up comedy. With a theatre layout and a well-managed show the comedy nights are set to become some of the best in the city.
Attached to the adjacent Vat and Fiddle pub and just a short 2 minute walk from the Nottingham Train Station the venue is easily accessible by public transport, as well as having street parking, which is free from 8pm every day.
