September 2019 | Leicestershire
The Doorstep Comedy Club heads into their first Winter season with a host of comedy events across Leicestershire. Following their launch in May September will play host to 4 events in Sileby, Birstall, Syston and Shepshed.
The first comedy show will be at Sileby’s Nineteen Twelve on Saturday 14 September. Starting at 7pm and lasting for approximately 2.5 hours the show will have 4 comedians on stage performing their material. Tickets are £10 each and can be purchased online at thedoorstepcomedyclub.com. Further information about the venue is also available on the website.
Laughter then makes its way to Birstall on Saturday 21 September. The Birstall Co-op Sports and Social Club will host the comedy night and follows on from a very successful launch earlier in the year. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased online.
The final weekend in September is a double header for The Doorstep Comedy Club, with Syston’s Beer Pharmacie hosting 4 acts from 8.30pm on Friday 27 September. The line-up for this show has already been confirmed and will feature 2017 New Act of the Year Rahul Kohli as the MC introducing Thomas Green, David Bruce and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Finalist Mark Simmons as the headliner for the night. Tickets are £10 and available online and at the venue.
The final show of September will be in Shepshed at the Pied Bull on Saturday 27th. Starting at 8.30pm the pub’s marquee is a great location for comedy, and Jay Handley will MC the night. The comedians performing will be Rahul Kohli, Alex Hylton, Kazeem Edwards and the headliner will be Darren Walsh, recipient of the Leicester Comedy Festival’s Favourite Joke award. Tickets are £10 and are available online and at the venue.
